Array 2
Second piece of the 'Array" series. Here abstract geometries are generate by cross pollinating simple delineations. The 9 by 13 dot product that began with easily traceable relationships devolves in to an intricate web of unique forms that seemingly have no guiding principles. If such complexity can be generated from a simple set of rules, how do we as architects and urbanists make sense of a site with huge sets of variables all operating in multiple planes and often as vectors? Hierarchy must be introduced and certain functions given priority, it is impossible to create a perfect building or object that can satisfy every need. The stronger the stance taken towards these conditions more successful the project.
